Bus Lanes Penalty Charge Portal

High Street and North Hill Bus Lanes

Essex County Council have granted an amnesty on penalty charge notices issued to motorists who have used the re-introduced bus lanes in Colchester town centre. The decision relates to the bus lanes on North Hill and High Street.

The amnesty means that any penalty charge notices issued for High Street or North Hill bus lanes before 12th January 2014 which have been paid will be automatically refunded, and any cases on file will be cancelled. You do not need to contact us to arrange refund or cancellation.

Improvements will be made to the signage in these locations and enforcement will commence from Sunday 12th January 2014 and any penalty charge notices issued after this date will require to be paid.

Full information on this can be found on Essex County Councils web site article >>

If you have been issued a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) within the Essex County Council area for a bus lane contravention, you can process payment for the charge or follow the links to challenge the charge if required.

If you are having difficulty paying online, or wish to speak to an advisor about the challenge process, please call 0845 505 1115
